Cancellation and Refunds
How to cancel, and what happens to what you have already paid.

Cancelling
Cancel at any time — from Account in Squint's own window, or from your account on heysquint.com. Either opens Stripe's billing portal. There is nobody to ask and no notice period.
You keep Plus until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. Deleting your account cancels the subscription immediately, before anything is deleted.
Refunds are not offered
Payments for Squint Plus are final. We do not refund them.
That holds however the period went, and a yearly subscription is one period: for time you did not use, for cancelling the day after being charged, for changing your mind, for a subscription you forgot was running, and for one you meant to cancel and did not. Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not return the one already taken.
It also holds for credits. Credits are a usage unit rather than money, they have no cash value, and they are never exchanged for cash — not on cancellation, not on account deletion, and not on request.
Where Plus is sold, and why that matters here
Squint Plus is sold in the United States only, and the checkout asks for a billing address.
It is worth saying plainly what that means for this page. Buying a service online in the UK or the EU normally comes with 14 days to change your mind, and a policy of no refunds has to be squared with it. That right belongs to consumers buying from a trader who sells to their country, and we do not: the offer is not made there and the sale does not happen there. So the section above is not an exception to a right you have — the right does not arise.
If we ever begin selling outside the United States, this page changes before the first such sale rather than after it, and the 14-day right is what it will have to deal with.
A subscription bought from outside the United States anyway is the one payment we do send back: we may cancel it and refund what was paid.
Being charged in error
Charged twice for one month, charged after you cancelled, or charged an amount that is not the published price: that is a mistake rather than a refund question, and the section above is not about it. Tell us and we will put it right.
Which is why the free plan is a real one
A policy of no refunds is only fair if you can find out what you are buying before you buy it. So the free plan is not a trial and does not expire: three captures a day, on the same hotkey, with no card and no countdown. It is there to answer the question a refund would otherwise have to.
If something is not working, that is worth an email before it is worth a cancellation — [email protected], from the address on your account.
